Sensor Trailer Upgrade

Our transportable trailer was deployed during summer 2022 to monitor weather variables and ozone concentrations in the wetlands between the Farmington Playa and the Salt Lake Airport. The trailer was extensively updated during the past month with a CSAT 3-D sonic added.  The trailer was redeployed on May 30 to help support a mosquito abatement study to begin during early June that will continue throughout the summer.

Ozone and NOx sensors will be added to the trailer during early June to support the 2024 Utah Summer Ozone Study (USOS) campaign underway during July and August.

Colin, Brett, and I kept 13 undergrads and 11 grad students busy during the Spring working on instrumentation in the lab and outdoors. The highlight of the course for everyone is a tour of  Campbell Scientific in Logan, UT.
